Come and meet the Reception team:
The staff in reception are looking forward to providing your children with a safe, friendly and exciting learning experience.
Our Spring Term topic is ‘Out of the Egg’. We will be learning all about dragons, Wales, life cycles and hatching.
The children were so excited that a friendly dragon had come to visit us and accidently dropped her egg! We had so much fun going on a dragon egg hunt, making dragon tail sandwiches and making our own dragon eggs. Take a look at some of our project launch photos …

Our Autumn Term topic was ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’. This topic gave us an opportunity to get to know the children and their families and gave the children the opportunity to learn all about their teachers.

Things your child needs:
Your child will need to be dressed in school uniform at all times and sensible footwear.
As your child is taught through the foundation phase curriculum, they will at times be taking part in messy hands on activities which include outdoors. Please provide your child with;
Please ensure that all clothing is clearly labelled with your child’s name.
The children will be taking part in P.E sessions every Monday. Please ensure you provide your child with a P.E kit, shorts, t-shirt, socks and daps. This will be left on the child`s peg and sent home every half term to be washed.
This term your child will be sent home with phonics and flashcards to learn. Home learning will be sent home on a Friday, pease can all home learning be returned by Wednesday at the latest in order for it all to be set up and go home Friday.

We aim to promote healthy living throughout the school. Children are encouraged to bring a healthy snack to school for their morning break. Please also encourage your child to bring a named water bottle to school every day so they can have access to water readily.
