Project launch Day
We have revealed our project title for the Autumn term ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’. We had so much fun exploring our items from home and learning more about each other. We created a thought shower of all the things we want to do as part of this project. We can’t wait to get started! Take a look at some of our project launch activities.
We are so excited to reveal our Spring topic
‘Out of the Egg’
Take a look at the fun we had during our project launch.
When we arrived in class we found a friendly Mummy dragon with her nest of eggs. She had a note asking us for help. She had lost some of her eggs in our local area. We watched the CCTV footage and found out the Mummy dragon was flying over our school on the weekend. We went on a hunt and found all of her eggs in our Reception garden. We are keeping them safe in our classroom.
To celebrate our launch we have also been having messy fun making paper mashe dragon eggs. We can’t wait for them to dry for us to paint them. We also made dragon tail sandwiches by using cucumbers for the dragon’s spikes.
During this project we will be learning through the theme of dragons. We will also learn more about life cycles and hatching, this will include a trip to the farm to see real baby chicks. It is really important that we get to have a say in our learning. Our teachers wrote down all our amazing ideas.
