Everyone achieving; learning in harmony
Pawb yn cyflawni; dysgu mewn heddwch
Welcome to Class 5’s web page where we will keep you up to date with all of our wonderful learning! The staff in Year 1 are looking forward to providing your children with a safe, friendly and exciting learning experience.
Our new project title for the Autumn term is…..
Welcome To The World
We cannot wait to explore different countires this term and learn a little more about the world around us.
Take a look at the fun we had on our launch day where we got to explore four different countries in one day. We explored Australia, India, Mexico and Ireland.
These are some of the books we will be looking at this term..
Your child will need to be dressed in school uniform at all times and sensible footwear. Please ensure that all clothing is clearly labelled with your child’s name.
We promote using the outdoor environment at every opportunity. During the wetter months, please ensure your child has the appropriate clothing for out door activities e.g. wellington boots and a waterproof coat.
During the warmer months, please ensure that your child has a sunhat and that suncream has been applied before school.
The children will be taking part in P.E sessions weekly. Please ensure you provide your child with a P.E kit. This will be left on the child`s peg and sent home every half term to be washed.
PE Kit Outdoor: Navy Hooded Sweatshirt / Navy Jogging Bottoms / Trainers
This term your child will be sent home with home learning, spellings and a reading book. Home learning will be sent home on a Friday, pease can all home learning be returned by Wednesday at the latest in order for it all to be set up and go home Friday.
You can also access a range of additional activities to complete with your children by clicking on the links below. Your children’s usernames and passwords are available in their home learning books.
We aim to promote healthy living throughout the school. Children are encouraged to bring a healthy snack to school for their morning break. Please also encourage your child to bring a named water bottle to school every day so they can have access to water readily.
