Miss Martinetz and Miss Davies would like to welcome you to class 6’s web page where we will keep you up to date with all of our wonderful learning!

Our new project title for the Autumn term is…..

Welcome To The World

We can not wait to explore different countires this term and learn a little more about the world around us.

Take a look at the fun we had on our launch day where we got to explore four different countries in one day. We explored Australia, India, Mexico and Ireland.

Don’t forget to take a peek at our Twitter account (@GaerPrimary) or search for explore our achievements by searching for #GPSClass6.

Please remember that school uniform must be worn at all times.

  • White polo shirt (Autumn, Spring and Summer)
  • Royal blue round neck jumper or cardigan
  • Charcoal grey trousers / skirt / dress with grey tights
  • Blue and white Gingham dress / grey shorts (optional for warmer weather)
  • Black shoes

Outdoor Learning

We are very keen to promote and provide outdoor learning at every opportunity for your children.

During the cooler and wetter months, please ensure that your child has the apropriate clothing for outdoor activities.

During the warmer months, please ensure that your children have a sun hat and that they have been applied with sun cream before coming to school.

P.E. Kit

We also aim to keep our uniform standards high during P.E. and it is very important to ensure that appropriate clothing is also worn during these sessions.

Our P.E. includes...

  • PE Kit Indoor: Navy Shorts / White Round-Neck T-shirt

  • PE Kit Outdoor: Navy Hooded Sweatshirt / Navy Jogging Bottoms / Trainers

Our P.E. sessions will take place on a Tuesday. It is an essential part of staying fit and healthy and we promote a positive attitude towards exercise and healthy living.

Healthy Living

We aim to promote healthy living throughout the school also. If you could please provide your child with a drinks bottle for during class time so they can have access to water readily. Children are also encouraged to bring a healthy snack to school for their morning break.

Home Learning

Home learning, spellings and reading books will be given out on a Friday. Home learning folders will need to be returned by Wednesday so that they can be marked and updated. Please ensure that these are returned.

You can also access a range of additional activities to complete with your children by clicking on the links below. Your children’s usernames and passwords are available in their home learning books.

If you have any queries, please contact the school office.

Many thanks,

Miss Martinetz and Miss Davies
