LRB – Miss Sansom
This Summer term project is called Hidden Kingdoms. The children had a fantastic project launch, during the launch the children watched two clues and solved a variety of riddles and found rocks with letters on to discover their new project title. As a class we then discussed what lessons they would like to learn about this term.
Every morning your child is provided with a small breakfast of toast or cereal along with condiments and milk. The benefits of this are to promote social and independent skills which help the children strive. In addition these experiences provide a good source of energy for the rest of the busy school day. The children also undertake a lot of cooking throughout the school week to enlighten their learning through a sensory orientated experience. In light of these opportunities, we are asking for your child to bring £1 a week on a Monday morning to help support with the cost of the resources needed for your child.
Our ‘Parental Information Sheet’ for the LRB can be found here!
Please remember that school uniform must be worn at all times:
We thank you for your continued support in ensuring the children look smart!
Our PE day is on Wednesdays, please remember your PE kit.
PE kit should be:
For indoor lessons:
- Navy Shorts
- White Round- Neck T-shirt
For outdoor lessons:
- Navy Hooded Sweatshirt
- Navy Jogging Bottoms
Home Learning will be given out every Friday and must be returned by the following Wednesday. Children will be given a mixture of Spelling, Literacy, Topic and Maths home learning along with a book to read at home. Help and support from home is very welcome, as our aim is for the children to share their learning with you. Please ensure the children maintain high standards of presentation and layout that they produce in class. Home Learning can be found by clicking here.
As a school we aim to promote healthy living, if you could please provide your child with a drink bottle for during class time so they can have access to drink water throughout the day. Children are also encouraged to bring a healthy snack to school for their morning break.
If you are not yet doing so, we would recommend you follow us on Twitter (@GaerPrimary). Throughout the week the children’s learning is celebrated through Twitter using the @GPSLRB hash tag.
If you have any queries please do no hesitate in contacting myself via the school office.
Diolch yn fawr!
Thank you for you continued support
