Croseo i Dosbarth 16!

Blwyddyn Newydd Dda i bawb!

Welcome to the Spring Term, we are off to a flying start with our learning already!  We are very much looking forward to our project launch day, which is planned for Week 3. This is where the title of our new project will be announced. Be sure to look out for the first week’s home Learning, where a competition will be held for the learners to come up with a title for our new project and to design a potential front cover! Watch this space for more information on what we will be covering this term once the announcement has been made.

We have some very exciting ‘hands on’ learning experiences and trips linked to our topic up and coming this term so be sure to keep an eye on the school diary for more details coming soon!

Please remember that school uniform must be worn at all times:

  • White Shirt and Tie (Autumn and Spring Terms)
  • Royal Blue V-neck Sweatshirt or Cardigan
  • Charcoal Grey Trousers / Skirt / Dress / Grey Tights
  • Blue and White Gingham Dress / Grey Shorts (optional for Summer Term)
  • Black Shoes

We thank you for your continued support in ensuring the children look so smart! Our PE days are Thursdays and Fridays. We would strongly recommend bringing PE kits on a Monday and taking them home on a Friday. This term Class 16 are very lucky to be collaborating with Janice from Dragon Sports to improve our Tag Ruggby skills! This will take place every other Thursday, look out for Tweets updating you all on the progress we make each session with Janice!

Please be reminded that PE kit is made up of:

  • PE Kit Indoor: Navy Shorts / White Round-Neck T-shirt
  • PE Kit Outdoor: Navy Hooded Sweatshirt / Navy Jogging Bottoms / Trainers

Home Learning will be given out every Friday and must be returned by the following Wednesday. Please ensure the children maintain the high standards of presentation and layout that they produce in class. Home Learning can be found by clicking here.

Our parental information booklet can be found by clicking here.

If you are not yet doing so, we would recommend you follow us on Twitter (@GaerPrimary). Throughout the week , children’s learning is celebrated through Twitter using the #GPSClass16 hash tag.  Keep up to date with what is happening in our school by downloading the Schoop App.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate in contacting myself via the school office. Many thanks,
