Blwyddyn Newydd Dda i bawb!
Our topic for this Term is named ‘Spring into Wales’, we have certainly covered alot already! Our topic will focus on the famous Transporter Bridge, look out for upcoming trips linked to this in the near future!
This term will see us working on our entries for our Eisteddfod which is taking place on Monday 4th March! Our Art will focus on the Transporter Bridge, we will pick a part of the structure that appeals to us, trace it and reflect it mutiple times to create a symmetrical pattern, which we will then colour in to make it eye catching! Throughout you Literacy sessions we will focus on two pieces for Eisteddfod, our Story Writing and our Poetry entry. Through studying Daniel Morden’s ‘Dark Tales From The Woods – The Fiery Dragon’, we will get to experience Welsh myths and legends from the past. The learners will focus on creating an exciting alternative ending! In Year 6 we will have a special opportunity to become crowned as the ‘Bardd’ on the day of our Eisteddfod! The learners are very excited about this opportunity and will work on adapting a Poem by Tony Badbury entitled ‘The Fox’ into a poem about a Dragon spotted raoming around our school! Pob Lwc!
